From Christchurch in the east of the county to Lyme Regis in the west, Dorset has some of the best and most varied shore angling along the entire South Coast catering for anglers of all abilities.

By far the most popular venue is Chesil Beach, a huge shingle bank that runs for eighteen miles from Portland in the East, to West Bay in the West. One of the premier fishing spots in Britain, it can be fished at all states of the tide. Please bear in mind it can be very dangerous when there is a south or southwesterly blow and a big sea running.
